Winter Home Prep Course:

Preparing your home for Winter!
Living along the Wasatch Mountain Range lends itself to a particularly snowy and cold winter.  And whether you are a winter sport enthusiast or just trying to make it back to summer, there are a few helpful things you can do to help bring warmth into your home!
First adding accent throws or blankets onto you sofa’s, sectional’s and bed’s.  Any place where you want to be “cozy” add a throw, not only will this be used (which is a good thing) but it will also bring a winter warmth into that room.

Your bedroom should not be overlooked. I know everyone loves those bright and fun colors of summer but let’s replace these colors with some deep reds, pumpkin oranges and some hazelnut browns.  These colors will go perfect with the smells of cinnamon, cherry cobbler, and pumpkin pie!  Add some blankets maybe a few festive quilts to add just the right touch to your master bedroom or one of your guest rooms to make everyone feel welcome!

Also, another great way to pass the blizzard filled days is to make sure you have a good amount of activities, whether it be sleds (for outside activities), movies, board games, card games etc.  Not only are they great for the whole family, they are a welcomed addition to hot cocoa with marshmallows and peppermint sticks or hot cider with cinnamon sticks! Now, doesn’t that sound nice?

Now, as it pertains to your holiday dining room; make sure you layer the table! A table cloth with a runner is always in good fashion, then add a festive place mat so your setting has depth.

These are just a few tips for your home, but they will be a welcome addition throughout the winter months!
